面白いサイトを発見した。
ie6 no more!

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 was released in late 2001. For its time,
it was a decent browser, but in 2009, it is still in use by a
significant portion of the web population, and its time is now up.
As
any web developer will tell you, working with IE 6 is one of the most
difficult and frustrating things they have to deal with on a daily
basis, taking up a disproportionate amount of their time. Beyond that,
IE 6's support for modern web standards is very lacking, restricting
what developers can create and holding the web back.
2001年にリリースされ、今もなお多くの人間が利用しているie6を撲滅するためのキャンペーンサイト。
Web開発者からすれば、ie6に対応するウェブサイトを作ることは大変な労力で且つイライラしてしまう。
ゆえに、そんな古めかしいブラウザにはバイバイしようというキャンペーン。
僕も、当サイトをie6に対応させるために無駄ともいえる時間を費やした。
このサイトは、HTMLとCSSしか使ってないので、もっとも単純なウェブサイトの形といえるかもしれないが、
そんな単純なサイトでも、ie6だけ表示にズレがしょうじてしまった。
ｃｓｓでie6だけに適用されるコードというのもあったが、そこまでしてie６に対応させなければいけない理由なんて、
windows一人勝ち時代の名残で、未だ利用者が多いから、というだけのことでしかなかったと思う。
（人に見てもらうコンテンツである以上、利用者の多いブラウザに合わせるのは当然のことかもしれないが）
上記のサイトではie6利用者を撲滅するために、下記の試みがなされている。

このコードをHTMLに貼り付けると、ブラウザのアップグレードを促すアラートが表示される。
しかも、ご丁寧にも7カ国語のバージョンをそれぞれ用意する力の入れようである。
うちの会社のシステム部門にもこのアラートを表示したい！
